Your first websitelocalhost:8000 · running

You know Lovable. Here is what changes.

What you use today

  • You type in a chat in your browser.
  • Lovable builds the site and hosts it for you.
  • You pay for every message and pay rent for hosting.
  • Moving your site elsewhere is hard.

What you will use now

  • Claude Code is the same kind of AI chat, but it runs on your own Mac and writes real files.
  • Ghostty is a terminal: a plain window where you type to your Mac.
  • Cloudflare puts your finished site on the internet at very low cost.

Same idea, lower cost, more control. It looks less friendly at first. Once you get used to it, it is faster.

What you need before you start

To be confirmed: how new team members receive their Claude login, and whether the Claude account is shared.

Three parts. You only need Part 1 to start working.

All commands in order

Tap a line to copy it. Plain English requests to Claude do not need to match word for word.

You are done. Now build something.

  1. Start one small project in its own folder. Describe it in plain words.
  2. Add the skills in Step 20, then try /grill-with-docs so Claude plans before it builds.
  3. When it looks good, ask Claude to push it to Cloudflare and give you a link.
  4. Teach Claude your habits. Say: remember how I like my designs.
  5. Watch your usage with /usage.
